Niger - PAP-APP Phase 1 (2018-2021)

From 2018 to 2020, IDI and CREFIAF partnered with the Court of Accounts of Niger to strengthen its strategic management systems and initiate long-term capacity development projects.

A team of peers — from the IDI, CREFIAF and the Court of Account of Senegal — worked closely with the Presidents of the Court of Accounts of Niger and his staff to:

assess current capacity and needs for development
develop a new strategic plan
design and implement a new operational planning process
build more effective relationships with external partners, including key stakeholders and development support providers
develop project proposals for long-term capacity development support

Following the completion of PAP-APP Phase 1, work with SAI Niger has continued under PAP-APP Phase 2 (2022-2024).

The signing of the Cooperation Agreement within the framework of the PAP-APP, gives me the pleasant opportunity to praise the efforts made by the IDI and CREFIAF. Also, with the support of other stakeholders, the Nigerien SAI hopes to be propelled from above through the vast capacity building program. On behalf of the First President and all members of the SAI, I am committed to the concrete and continuous implementation of the whole program. The SAI has voluntarily committed itself and will play its own role
