pICTure is a new initiative to fulfill a digitization ambition in SAIs by uplifting their ICT Maturity.
The pICTure team in the IDI launched the pilot phase of the pICTure initiative on 14 July 2022 with a webinar where participants joined from SAI Ghana, Rwanda, Tanzania, and Ethiopia, who confirmed their participation in this pilot.
The objective of this kick-off session was to introduce the nominated SAI team members with the roadmap of the initiative along with the expected outcomes and objectives, as well as getting to know each other and share expectations.
Further along with the SAI Teams we will:
- Assess the current ICT Maturity in the SAIs to understand where the SAI stand and which areas need to be strengthened. Fruitful dialogue with the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GiZ) has taken place, and we are happy to share that the SAI ITMA tool developed by GiZ will be used for this purpose.
- Long-term planning by defining an ICT Strategy to meet the SAIs strategic objectives, building on the findings from the assessment of the current situation.
- Short-term planning by developing a roadmap to implement the necessary actions. The roadmap will include concrete activities for the year to ensure the implementation of the ICT strategy and reinforce long-lasting change.
