  • Our mission
    The INTOSAI Development Initiative is an INTOSAI body, which supports Supreme Audit Institutions in developing countries, in their efforts to sustainably enhance performance, independence and professionalism. The IDI provides this support by facilitating and coordinating effective SAI capacity development programmes; developing and disseminating Global Public Goods; strengthening regional bodies, networks and communities;and mobilizing scaled up and more effective support to SAIs.

The Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA) and the IDI have recently signed an agreement for core funding from SIDA for a four year period from 2015 to 2018. This agreement provides for Swedish Kroner 44 million over the four years representing a significant increase over the previous agreement period. SIDA has been a long term and key partner for the IDI since inception of its operations from Norway in 2001. The IDI is immensely grateful to SIDA for its valuable support and looks forward to our continued cooperation to enhance the performance and capacity of Supreme Audit Institutions in developing countries.
